CLUB REGISTRATION

Registering your club with the USGAA correctly is of the utmost importance especially if your club intends to play in the USGAA Finals. Registration impacts who is and who isn't eligible to play in any USGAA-sanctioned tournament (which as of this writing, only includes the USGAA Finals). The purpose of this registration section of the Heartland USGAA website is to provide a definitive how-to on the registration process and answer typically asked questions. If you cannot find an answer to a specific registration question in this section or its related sections involving transfers, feel free to e-mail the divisional registrar for assistance.

REGISTRATION FACTS
  • As of this writing, all club registrations are submitted via TopScore (access to the current season's registration information should be available by April 1st)
  • Request access to the registration system by having the club registrar fill out the following USGAA Registrar form
  • Registration is due by April 30th of each year
  • Any player that previously played for another club (in Ireland or in the US) will need to be appropriately transferred before registering them with your club (unless they meet the non-club player form criteria)
  • A player MAY register with two different clubs as long as they are code-specific. If a player would like to play hurling for one club and football with another, each of those clubs MUST be only a hurling club or a football club
  • A player must register with a local club, if a local club is available for the code that player wants to participate in
  • Brand new, NON-IRISH BORN players (never having played for or been registered with another club) can be registered usually until mid-August (the date changes from year-to-year)
  • A Non-Club Player Form (in addition to standard registration) may be filled out in lieu of interclub transfer if the following criteria (described on the form itself)

GENERAL REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
There is general registration information that must be obtained from each player to be registered. This information is then added to your roster in TopScore. It is of the utmost importance that the collected information from each player is accurate. This information is used to verify the identity of a player intending on playing in the USGAA Finals. It can also be used in the middle of a match if the opposing club requests an ID check (please don't assume this won't happen, it has). The general registration information requirements that each player must provide is as follows:
  • Full Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Full Address
  • Telephone Number
  • E-mail Address
  • Last Four Digits of Driver's License or Passport
  • Place of DL or Passport Issuance
  • Photograph
  • Waiver Signature

However, it's important to have a basic understanding of what they are and that is what the following provides. As always, there is a discount for newly-formed clubs (less than three years old).
